Super bloom
Super Bloom originated from a personal turning point. A period in which life forced me to slow down, to pause, and to make new choices – for myself, a different direction, love, life.
In the silence, I made a conscious choice: to listen to myself.
To make space for my own rhythm, my desires, and my resilience.
Not as an endpoint, but as the start of something new.
This series is about women finding themselves again. After change, after loss, after moments when life takes a different turn than expected.
On the moment when peace arises and we get to know ourselves anew.
Where softness and courage meet, and dreams can grow again, sometimes cautiously, sometimes resolutely.
From the inner movement, strength arises.
Not loud, but deep-rooted.
Not perfect, but real.
Superbloom reflects the moment something breaks open – not fragile, but full of vitality.
Old Masters
Imme’s fascination with the old masters began with Degas, who painted ladies as they are. Nothing was polished away, in their everyday existence, both vulnerable and powerful. This was followed by Klimt, who often depicted his ladies as almost mythical beings. Imme: ‘I find a certain love radiating from that.’ For her personally, art is about reconstructing works that are mostly in private collections, preferably in their original size. These works cannot simply be viewed in a museum. Those who do see them in person belong to a very select group on this earth. The greater the challenge, the greater the drive to get as close as possible to the original. Please note: it is never Imme’s intention to sell reproductions as if they were by the master himself, under his name. These paintings are reproduced after examples, made purely through studies, without calculations and grids, and without a preliminary sketch on the canvas, let alone a computer or AI. They will therefore show differences from the original, possibly due to materials, a different interpretation, or a minimal deviation.
Diverse Works
The remaining works form a direct line with Impressionism. Imme states: ‘As an artist, you're allowed to have a story, but I can't be pinned down to just one. I create what gives me energy at that moment.’ Here you will find a selection of still lifes, Japanese ladies (Japonisme by Klimt and van Gogh), portraits, and figures inspired by dance and movement (inspired by Degas).
