Atelier Plaisier
Fine art collection
Welcome to Atelier Plaisier. Where old masters meet in the present day.
As a child, Imme Plaisier was already impressed by Monet's water lilies. Later, her love for Impressionism and its famous artists, including Matisse, Klimt, van Gogh and Degas, grew. Her admiration for them is great, as is her admiration for two ladies who are very close to her: her grandmothers. Both possess artistic talent: one attended art school and the other painted in Montmartre in her younger years.
Imme is entirely self-taught and carries on an old tradition: the desire to create on canvas. Translating emotion, making the world a little bit more beautiful. Her work is varied; she creates whatever appeals to her, always with a nod to Impressionism. Every piece of hers that you will see here features predominantly rounded shapes, a loose brushstroke and, at the same time, a certain precision. Imme dares to be bold; this is where she finds her freedom and her home.
'Art is like dancing: you can completely surrender yourself to it. And that's precisely its beauty.'
